The Anchors
While our lineage is vast, our specific branch of the Holt Universe finds its true north in two people: Henry Collins Holt and Matilda Baldwin. For generations, family lore and confusing records often referred to the matriarch of our line as “Martha,” but the records prove otherwise. It was the resilient Matilda Baldwin who married Henry in 1866. Together, they settled on the Bear Fork of Robinson Creek to build a home and a legacy. From that single cabin in the mountains, a family grew that now spans the entire nation. They are the anchors of our tree, and we are the living proof of their endurance.
History is not just about the past. It is about us right now. While our roots were planted by Henry and Matilda, our branches flourished under the care of Landon and Rebecca Holt. It is through their children that most of us today trace our connection to this legacy.
