Our family story is the story of America itself. It is a journey that began long before we settled in the hollers of Kentucky.It started with the earliest pilgrims stepping onto Plymouth Rock. It moved through the colonial history of Virginia and the rugged trails of Tennessee. Finally, it found its home in the mountains of Pike County, Kentucky. This website is our virtual time capsule. It celebrates the rich tapestry of Holt generations across the ages.

Hi, I’m Barrett Lee Owens, but I was born Barrett Lee Holt. I am the creator and administrator of this website and domain. This website is about all of our stories. My history involves being adopted. Later, I rediscovered my roots with my mother, Marie, and a whole lot of Holts. I will have much more to say about that journey in the future. I plan to create a dedicated space here where we can all post our personal biographies.
